I just finished reading an article; mostly a rant; that made a pretty valid point, (in the midst of the rant).

When Google declared that its mission is to “organize the world’s information,” it didn’t take into account that its very existence would dramatically increase the amount of information in the world and make it harder for us to find what we need online.

Now, this could very well be argued right along side the “chicken & egg” debate.. and really, if Google didn’t exist.. wait, I think I just caused a spontaneous cosmic ripple in the Universe with that mere thought… but anyway..

If Google didn’t exist, would the amount of information on the Net be any less? hmm.. (think I’ll have eggs for breakfast).

Some people say/write things without thinking them all the way through. Me? I might think too much; but it gives me words to put on this page, you’re reading. (heh.. there’s method to my madness).

I don’t think we can seriously blame Google for the amount of crap on the Net. I mean, crap is crap and proliferates more crap; which causes us to wipe our mouths and flush our brains.. get up and say “ahhh..”. BUT, if we wanna just keep things simple and stay in suit with pointing the proverbial finger then .. YEAH! Google did it!!

..go figure, huh?
