Tip & Tricks

Hey! Did you know you could…

Those of us that have chosen to move away from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer; (for all the obvious reasons — we won’t get into that, here); and embrace Mozilla’s FireFox probably use Google’s gMail, as well.

With the release of FireFox 3.0; (maybe even a little before); you’ve more than likely been witnessing strangeness with your browser whenever you’ve gone to check your gMail. Slow downs, massive CPU consumption.. just stupid sh** that never happened before. And if you’re one of those people that goes looking in the community for answers to stupid shi**, like me then I’m sure you’ve come away scratching your head a little.

The resident uber geeks will tell you to “tweak this.. change that.. config those.. then run around the house three times and all will work fine!”.. AND, (again if you’re like me), you take some of that stuff with a big grain of salt… because what I’ve found is that some of those geeks will purposely break stuff just to give themselves something else to fix. ::shrug:: Guess they get their kicks like that; I don’t know.

I went into the about:config section of my FireFox and stared at the big Warning! Warning, Will Robinson! message for a good 10 seconds and ultimately said, “OK, fugg it! I can always change it back, right?”.. shaking, I clicked the “OK, I’m on my own” button. Went in and tweaked a couple things..

Went back to gMail and.. DAMMIT!! — biotch was still dragging along.

Now, at a point like this, (as the progressive thinkers that we are) you might be tempted to go back to the geeks and try to find some further instruction. Yet, this time something stopped me. Namely that new little browser that came outta nowhere from .. who?.. Google themselves; Chrome.

Now, when I first read about Chrome I LMAO because I’m thinkin’, “..these fools done LOST their mind”. I mean, there is NO WAY that Google can make a dent in the browser market. Yet, I can now see the method in their madness.

I loaded Chrome.. pulled up gMail bwith/b FireFox open.. and wouldn’t you know it.. smooth sailing. Now, what’s that tell you? Google isn’t really pushing Chrome; not like they are Google Apps or YouTube or AdSense or AdWords or… shoot, none of their stuff. Yet, there it is.. sittin’ there waiting on some frustrated Netizen to find it out of desperation.

OH, and don’t expect anything spectacular from Chrome. Its got its purpose and that is very apparent. With its ability to create (what they call) Application Shortcuts, the more you use it the more its bintended/b use becomes apparent.

So, there ya go. Now you can stop beating up your keyboard everytime you go to check your gMail. :)

Did you know that after holding a Business Account with PayPal for 60days, that you’re eligible for their MasterCard Debit Card?

“Yeah.. and?!” (you say)

Well, for one thing, anyone that has a business online should be working on ways to streamline their business operations. With the PayPal MC, you can use it as EITHER a Credit Card OR a Debit Card; which means, all your bills can be paid via your PayPal balance. Every transaction that goes through your PayPal account is documented automatically in the PayPal account register; giving you immediate access (in real time) to all of your expenses, as well as income.

Let me put this in better perspective…
Say you’re selling something through your website; (and if you’re smart, you’re using PayPal as [at least one of] your selling options). Selling through PayPal means “instant” income; as opposed to say ClickBank where you have to wait 15days. Even with a standard merchant account, its gonna take up to 36; (sometimes 72); hours before you can say that money is in your account. Both a merchant account and other services such as ClickBank require you to interact with your bank; (which means fees); to access those funds.

Having “instant access” to funds via selling through PayPal allows you to…

  • Calculate your Income Statement in real time
  • Calculate your Cost of Goods Sold in real time
  • Provide “safe” instant access to your Goods & Services to your Clients
  • This means happier Clients
  • This means less Customer Service
  • This means more positive Word of Mouth
  • This means more Clients
  • This means more MONEY

Now, with the PayPal MasterCard, you have “instant access” to the “manipulation” of those funds, as well.

Think about that in regards to a PPC campaign! WOW…!

Talk about streamlining your business operations! Man, you can pay all your business expenses without incurring bank fees and your business is ‘literally’ justifying itself through the profits it pulls in. You’re able to make “real time educated decisions” based on “real time numbers” regarding ALL of your business dealings.

I get excited just typing about the possibilities; (yeah, I know I’m a freak); but still!

Do yourself and your business a favor and get a PayPal MasterCard Debit Card; you’ll thank me later. Guaranteed!

A lotta people get online and immediately get bombarded by all the “You WILL Be Rich Once You Do THIS” crap. Problem is, some of the people that spew this stuff out are pretty good at convincing you that its true. Then you find yourself spending WAY more money than you had ever bargained for, but not making anything in return.

DAMMIT!!

You should not be coming out of pocket to sustain your business; as much as possible. Each expense of the business should be justified by the business; meaning, your business plan should be structured to sustain itself through its own operations.

This is the whole purpose, (well.. one of them, anyway), behind
incorporating your business. To separate personal assets/liabilities
from those of your business.

I can’t see myself justified by giving you this criticism without offering up a viable solution, as well… so…

Here’s something you should do. Someone else posted a thread; (which I
don’t feel like looking for); that asked “what would you do with $600
on the Internet to make money?” (I’m paraphrasing, of course).. Anyway,
in that thread I posted some advice based on what I know “today”… and
you actually don’t need the whole $600, but its good to have some
cushion.

1. Go to this site –> Gutenberg.org

2. Search it for 3 to 4 books that relate to your chosen niche and
download them. Read through them and break the content up into chunks
that can be spread over about 6mths worth of eMail newsletter content.
Each eMail containing at least 200 words worth of content. Make sure to
“add your own voice” to this content series; as you really don’t wanna
just spit out somebody else’s material and appear to be something
you’re not. Adding your own voice will also establish your personality
and a relationship with your readers.(free)

3. Go to this site –> xMailWrite.com

4. Download the free tool provided there; which is a too specifically
created to help you organize the writing of an autoresponder series.
(free)

5. Start building your series from the content above and be sure to frequently save your progress.

6. Go to this site –> ClickBank

7. Search the MarketPlace for products that compliment your niche and
autoresponder series to be used as “Ads” in your autoresponder series.
BE SURE these products are “quality products”. You don’t necessarily
need to buy them in order to make an educated assumption that they’re
quality. You also have this forum to bounce information off of for
reviews from those that have already purchased the products.

7a. You could possibly even find yourself in a position to create a
couple of JV’s based on featuring those willing to give testimonials
for said products IN your newsletter. (Remember, “the hustler
mentality”. The hustler’s eyes are ALWAYS open).

7b. I shouldn’t have to tell you this, but be sure to open a Seller’s Account at ClickBank so you can actually make money.

7c. DO NOT post these products in your newsletter with the voice that
you’re ‘endorsing them’ IF you haven’t actually purchased them. As an
alternative, just post them as “Please check out our Sponsor’s
Offerings”; or something along those lines. NEVER “lie” to your people!

8. Get yourself a gMail Account and study the sections on POP access
and how to set it up. Nothing over the top technically. Pay attention
and you’ll have no problems.

9. Go to this site –> FollowUp Expert

9a. Opt for the $50 personal version. Set the software up on your PC;
(granted you’re on a Windows OS computer — if you’re on a MAC, then
you’re gonna have to do some research for a comparable product, I don’t
know of one); and attach it to your gMail account.

9c. The FollowUp Expert site has information on how to do this; read and you’ll have little to no problems.

9d. TEST YOUR SETUP!!

10. Once you have all of the above accomplished and only then go to this site –> ListOp.com

ListOpt is a co-reg site; which means HE will build your
Opt-In list FOR you, (for a price, of course). This site is used by
“gurus”, (I have actual confirmation from a couple of them, to this
fact)… so you can trust it and Glen.

10a. You’re lucky! I just checked and Glen is currently running a
special offer where you’re saving money (a lot, actually — he normally
charges $97mth). Just make sure you’re paying to get your list built.
Read all the information there and they’ll point you in the right
direction.

10b. Glen’s site has information on how to set up an “auto import” function for the lists info he gives you.

11. As you can see, I’m not going to do the work FOR you, but you’re
now pointed in the RIGHT direction to put an easy business model
together that is pretty much on auto-pilot that WILL (IF you do it with
integrity and focus factoring in your “hustler gene”) more than likely
make you some money through ClickBank sales.

11a. Wash, Rinse, Repeat…

There ya go… why are you still sitting here reading this??
